nTier700backpanelnolongercausesthesystemtohang.

#> Chassis <Chassis #> Hba <Hba #>
Expander <Expander #> changed state from
<previous state> to OK
UsetheWindowscommandlinetodetermine thestatus.
1. ConnecttotheWindowsdesktop.
2. Select Start > Accessories > Command Prompttoopena
commandpromptwindow.
3. Typethefollowingcommand:
%ntiercurrent%\adaptec\arcconf.exegetstatus<ctrl#>
where
<ctrl #>
isthenumberoftheRAIDcontrolleron
whichtheRAIDwasbeingrebuilt(either1or2).
4. RepeatStep2untilthestatusreturnedis“None.”
Problem Workaround
UpdatefromBlueScale2.2or2.3 to2.6 .0.6fails
unlessspecificproceduresarecarefullyfollowed.
ThisupdatemustbeperformedbySpectraLogic
TechnicalSupportpersonnel(seeContacting
SpectraLogiconpage 4).
AfterdisablingaNICthroughtheBlueScaleweb
interface,theoperatorpanelnolongeroperates
correctly.
Donotdisable
NICs.
FollowingarebootofthenTier700,theBlueScale
webinterfaceshowsthestatusforallsystem
componentsasunknownandLastUpdateasold.
Note: ResolvedinBlueScale2.9.0.4.
Rebootthesystemagain.
